St James Catholic Church, located in Lake Placid, Florida is part of the Diocese of Venice.  Our parish is beautifully situated between stately oaks and peaceful Lake Placid, from which the town takes its name.

With 50 years of history here in Highlands County, our parish continues to be a vibrant, welcoming place to all.  Our membership encompasses all ages, and opportunities for everyone are offered through our many ministries and activities. In the winter season our membership grows, as many people have chosen Lake Placid for their winter residence.

Leading a staff of 5 and numerous volunteers is our pastor Fr. Vincent Clemente.  He is assisted by our parochial vicar, Fr. Felix Gonzalez.

We welcome all who wish to join us for worship - Catholics, members of other faith denominations or those with no affiliation to a particular church family.
